Invasive Species

GSL provide a complete control and eradication service for invasive species using the latest, most effective treatments available.

What are Invasive Species?

There are some plants that have been introduced into the UK that may be bigger, faster growing or more aggressive than the native species.

The native species are unable to compete and the invasive species can quickly take over, this coupled with the fact that there are fewer natural predators to control numbers can upset the balance of the eco-system.

Some of the more common invasive species encountered are Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed. GSL use the latest stem injection system and 3 year action plans to provide the complete control and eradication of these and other invasive species.
